Artists' tools sing, squabble, and learn a valuable Christian-based lesson in this educational video. Pencil stub Doodle is teased for his diminutive stature by bigger pencil Sketch, paintbrushes, and even the palette. But he finds a friend when the stick figure he draws on a magic pad comes to life. Harmony is short-lived, however--an ink blot finds its way onto the pad and comes to villainous life, inviting a Western-style showdown with Stickman, who dons a cowboy hat and John Wayne's cadence. A brief drawing lesson is also packed into this 27-minute video, along with a retelling of the New Testament fishes and loaves story, with the extrapolated message that God loves little ones, too. VeggieTales fans will recognize the homage these folks pay to the anthropomorphic band of vegetables from the similar flavor of the voices and irreverent humor to the format, including the Bible quote at the end--on a sketch pad, instead of a computer screen.
